Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr M. Godfrey.

A two-term course covering a range of Web Development technologies including: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and Databases. Two major projects will be completed for the duration which will cover the five web development technologies. The outcome that will be developed will consist of an interactive web-page based message board application and a web-based comic strip. The course will cover progress outcomes four of Computational Thinking for Digital Technologies Hangarau Matihiko. Extension work will be made available for learners who have completed the main projects.

WGP College utilises an online code editing environment and database management system where all learner work can be completed via a web browser.
We strongly recommend that learners have a Windows laptop or Macbook which can run Chrome. Tablet-based devices are not suitable for this course.
