Level 2 Mathematics with Statistics
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Pranil.
This course is for learners who can confidently apply statistical concepts when solving theoretical and real world problems. Learners can progress from this course to L3MATS which offers University Entrance in either Mathematics or Statistics.
Topics Covered:
- Investigate a situation involving elements of chance using a simulation.
- Apply network methods in solving problems.
- Design a questionnaire.
- Conduct an experiment to investigate a situation using statistical methods.
External AS offered: This is a recommended prerequisite for L3MATS
- Apply probability methods in solving problems
*If you are not taking L3MATS but doing Level 3 in the following year - Level 3 Time Series Internal will be done
*If you are leaving school at the end of Level 2 - Level 2 Banking products and services in relation to personal finances Internal Unit standard will be done
