Course Description
Classical Studies is the study of the art, literature and history of the societies from the Classical Period in the Mediterranean. In 2024 this course particularly focuses on Classical Rome. Learners explore the values of these cultures. Many elements of the modern western world have grown from this culture; Republics and Empires, Architecture, and Plays. This subject helps us understand the roots and values of our own society, as well as giving us a method to discover and understand these in other cultures.
