Senior Pathway
Learners in Years 11, 12 and 13 must choose to study Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (Māori Medium) or Te Mātauranga o Aotearoa (English Medium). You might know Te Marautanga o Aotearoa as the Wananga.
Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (Māori Medium) Pathway- the Wananga - comprises three specific choices
- Te Reo
- English
- History
If you choose the Wananga you do not need to pick either English, Te Reo, or History (they will be included as part of your Wananga core components). You will be picking 3 options of your liking from the remaining Learning Areas. Your acceptance to this pathway is not automatic, you will need to write an application note on selection.
Te Mātauranga o Aotearoa (English Medium) Pathway does not include core options (other than Maths for Y11) and allows you to pick all of your options freely from any of the Learning Areas.
