Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr M. Godfrey.
Learners will complete three Digital Technologies/Computing standards. They will learn how to create media outcomes including websites, programs (JavaScript) and databases.

Course Overview
Term 1
Develop a web application using PHP, CSS, HTML and a database.
Term 2
Develop a computer program using JavaScript.
Term 3
Demonstrate understanding of User Interface design.
Term 4
Computer science concepts

None – This course assumes that learners have no prior web design / programming experience

Learners will be expected to have their own laptops capable of running the following software:
- Google Docs/Sheets
- Google Chrome
Whangaparaoa College utilises an online code editing environment and database management system where all learner work can be completed through the Chrome browser. Tablet based devices are not suitable for this course.
