Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs D. Davies.
This courses focus will be on creating outcomes to lessen the impact fashion has on the environment. Learners will develop their own brief to present written and practical solutions. Design planning and construction techniques are emphasised throughout the course. This work will involve research, interviews, investigations and product development of a textile product.
Learners will:
- Construct a Button-down Shirt from linen showing self expression of design and colour matching
- Investigate an ethical solution that they will wear to our local ethical café Two spoons - this could be a dress, pants, jacket etc
- Construct their ethical solution using advanced skills, to show professionalism and pride in their outcome
