L3PHYS01

Level 3 Physics

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs B. Menezes.

This is an academic course to best prepare learners for the L3 Physics course. Physics is the science that has an impact on all our lives ranging from the mobile phones we use daily to nuclear power stations that generate electricity. Physics uses mathematics as an important tool and it is therefore recommended that learners have good mathematical skills. Learners will build their skills in problem solving and communicating ideas.

Recommended Prior Learning

L3PHYS requires an in-depth understanding of the Level 2 Physics material and requires ability in algebra. It is highly recommended that learners have 10+ credits from L2PHYS.

Course Contribution and Equipment (this value is only indicative)

$115 Total
Contributions include...
- Workbook ($25)
- Rainbow's End field trip (optional) ($70 estimate). Field trip cost will be advised when trip details are finalised and sent to parents from the Schoolbridge platform. Field trip costs are to be paid via the Kindo app. In 2024 this fee was $70.
- Education Perfect ($20).This is subject to change dependent upon the type of EP access license applicable to the learner and whether they are enrolling in multiple Sciences. There is one EP license for access to all Science courses. If the learner is enrolling for multiple Science courses then this course contribution only needs to be paid once
